Rhamphorhynchus Power

Above is a beautiful little piece Camille Rose Garcia did to benefit a wildlife trust in conjunction with Roc La Rue Gallery; makes me think that Rice Power should do some conservation work (original article and adorable picture of baby elephant here.)

Speaking of conservation, I'm totally fascinated with extinct animals, and drew a sketch of possibly the cutest archeopteryx ever?

This current obsession has been making me think of my paintings kind of as excavation sites, which I enjoy -- here's a small one I did recently.

An infrequent, fleeting update.

Up north, we missed the tornadoes and had a lovely day here yesterday. During the hailstorm, I watched the entirety of The Bad Seed on youtube (which is still hilarious after all these years -- Amber, let's watch it) and afterward, it was wonderful to take a couple pictures of my hometown.

I've been missing the sun a little but it's okay because it's now cool enough (and I actually have the time) to BAKE eeeeei! I think I will make a whole collection of Dog ate Dan's new heart desserts to test out snacks for Rice Power's first opening.

I'm not sure why I chose to update, but I'm painting again so I'll probably put some stuff on here soon! I feel like I've been waiting forever for this. Of course I've been a little unproductive but it's time to just buckle down and paint and draw and sew and make silly little furry books with angry mouths. And also plan a couple trips to Boulder and try to have a fantastic summer. Because aldkfajdlfj I'm not working. IN SHORT, EVERYTHING IS MAGIC.
